act JUSTLY, love MERCY, walk HUMBLY - Micah 6:8

Have you ever witnessed something heart-breaking on the news and just wished you could hop on a plane, go to that place and help? Human trafficking, child soldiers, genocide, poverty, AIDS, children living on the streets – these are only a few of the injustices that millions face every day. Justice DTS is designed for those who refuse to stand on the sidelines and observe the atrocities of our world. Justice DTS is for the adventurous in spirit, the compassionate at heart, and those who desire for their lives to really make a difference!!!

This DTS will be a journey of discovery - discovering God, discovering yourself, discovering your passions and discovering the world.

The Justice DTS Lecture Phase

During your classroom training you will be taught by the mothers and fathers of world missions, who God has been using to build His kingdom all over the earth. In addition to incredible teaching, ministry sessions, and impartation; part of the curriculum will focus on teaching students particular skills, which will further increase their effectiveness on outreach. An example of this is, two million children die every year simply because of the water they drink. We will train you how to build water purifiers and water tanks to battle this crisis. Education is another key aspect to eradicating poverty. Part of your DTS training will help equip you to develop life changing educational opportunities for young people in developing communities.

The Field Assignment

The 12 week field assignments will target areas of poverty and injustice in both Asia and Africa. You may find yourself working in an orphanage in Cambodia, digging wells in Mozambique, working with trafficked and sexually abused women in Thailand, or caring for street children in India. These are only a few of many possibilities.

God is looking for young people who desire to be a part of something bigger than themselves! The Justice DTS outreaches will be designed to do just that – to make an impact, to make a difference, that God will be known and lives will be changed around the world.

Please Note: The Justice DTS is geared towards 18-30 year olds

Meet Your School Leaders

Justice Morris OhanaJon (from Australia) and Elin (from Norway) have been involved with YWAM for the past nine years. They both share a huge heart for global justice and have spent months at time working with children at risk, in countries throughout Asia and Africa. In their spare time, Jon loves to surf and Elin enjoys walking with friends. Last July, their daughter Matea Leilani was born and has been a welcomed addition to the family.

“We invite you to join us this September in Kona. We believe God has huge plans for the Justice DTS and know it will be adventure that will not only change your life, but 1000’s of others around the world” – Jon and Elin
