Humanities & Science: A Christian Perspective
The Challenge
Humanities and Science: A Christian Perspective is a core course of the University of the Nations, and it enables students to examine and celebrate God's truth in every area of life.
Some of the topics are: • The history of civilization, • The meaning of worldview, • Language and custom, • The history and practice of science, • Environmental stewardship principles, •Literature and art, • World politics and justice.
The course takes as its theme, Philippians 4:8,9 to let our minds dwell on whatever is true, honorable, just, sacred, lovely and admirable aspects of God's work in the world, and the clues these give us to his nature and purpose for the human race.
Think On These Things:
- True: Philosophy, Science - Determining Truth
- Honorable: Biography - Lives of Men Seen in God's Perspective
- Just: Political Science - Government, Law, International Relations
- Sacred: Church History - History of Missions, Comparative Religion
- Lovely: The Arts - Music, Art, Literature
- Admirable: History - God's Grace Traced in the Story of Mankind

Prerequisites
Completion of the YWAM-DTS (Discipleship Training School and Field Assignment -- IDS 701/702) or YWAM-CDTS (Crossroads Discipleship Training School -- IDS 703/704).
Credits
Twelve (12) semester-equivalent credits will be earned upon successful completion of Humanities and Science: A Christian Perspective (HIS/SAT 301). These credits may be applied to a U of N degree program or transferred to other colleges and universities.
